Photo contest winners announced
After accepting entries for several months, the Visit Topeka Inc. Photo Contest ended on January 14 with 159 submissions from 49 photographers. We were thrilled with the variety of photos we received because they truly revealed the essence of Topeka. Our panel of judges had a difficult time choosing the winners and were really impressed with the quality of work. Thank you to everyone who entered!
We want to invite you, your friends and family to see the winning photographs and other selected entries at the Visit Topeka Art Show at Warehouse 414, Feb. 4, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. You’ll be able to vote for your favorite photo to win the People’s Choice award! This event is part of Topeka’s February First Friday ArtWalk and will offer food, drink and lots of great art.
Warehouse 414 is located at 414 SE 2nd St.
And now. . . the photo contest winners!
The Visit Topeka Inc. Photo Contest was made possible by our generous sponsors and partners. Topeka Tourism Alliance, Wolfe’s Camera, Framewoods of Topeka, and the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to Warehouse 414 for hosting the art show and to everyone who donated prizes or materials. If you haven’t seen the January/February issue of seveneightfive magazine, make sure you pick up a copy. They printed a handful of photo contest entries with a great write-up. Thanks, seveneightfive!

I especially liked Carol Yoho’s photo of the Topeka library. The other photos were good also.
